Garlic-Infused Oil
Tested serving
- About 20mL
Garlic-infused oil is Low FODMAP at 1 tablespoon (20mL), giving you garlic flavor without the fermentable carbohydrate in the cloves.
- Garlic-infused oil is low at 1 tablespoon (20mL), and no FODMAP group reaches a meaningful level at that serve; larger amounts are not rated.
- Garlic's fermentable carbohydrates dissolve in water, not oil, so infusing garlic in oil and straining out the solids leaves them behind. Oils with garlic pieces still in them are a different story.
Drizzle it over pasta, roast vegetables or dressings whenever a recipe calls for garlic, and if you make your own, remove the solids before storing.
